How children learn French with A Petits Pas
“A Petits Pas” translated means: Little step by Little step and that is how your little ones learn to develop their French skills.
“A Petits Pas”, the French Mobile School was born in September 95 and now travels along stopping at Stretton, Montessori Norwich, Nightingale, Sparhawk, Kinsale, Colman, Drayton, Poringland, St Williams, Browick, Costessey and Fairway’ Schools and Nurseries.
So why not, at the start of next term, add the name of your school/nursery to this list and you too could benefit from the professionalism, dedication and FUN of “A Petits Pas”!
Our activity sessions are great fun. The children learn the language actively through constant interaction with the leader, developing both listening and speaking skills in the most natural way.
The “A Petits Pas” Method
Whilst all children have the ability to learn languages, it is of vital importance that this is done using methods that are specifically designed and developed for introducing languages to young children. Our method is unique and has been developed solely for that purpose.
We do not teach in the traditional sense, we provide an environment in which they can learn. We introduce the children to French through fun. Throughout the session we use a range of activities. These activities are similar to those that they would do at home, at a nursery or at a school, the only difference is that ours takes place in the target language. The idea is that they enjoy doing the activities which they find interesting and stimulating and are absorbing the language at the same time. Children will listen to and enjoy participating in things they are interested in and so we use activities and materials that are relevant to them.
Knowledge of other languages and cultures opens up many possibilities, whether it is for friendships, holidays or international business. Languages are an advantage in any walk of life and the simple truth is, the younger you start the easier it is.
